The late Bruce Reynolds was the man who masterminded the Great Train Robbery, one of the most audacious heists of the twentieth century.  After five years on the run, with the Flying Squad in hot pursuit, Bruce paid dearly for his new-found celebrity – he was tried and sentenced to twenty-five years in prison.  He was released in 1979, and despite numerous offers, turned his back on his criminal past.  His classic memoir, The Autobiography Of A Thiefhas never been out of print.
