Molly Gunn is a writer, business owner and influencer.

Starting her career in broadsheet fashion journalism, Molly worked on staff at The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph and ES Magazine, delivering style news to the nation, during the early 00s. As a freelancer she then went on to write for Net-a-Porter.com, The Observer, Grazia, Vogue, Grazia, Red Magazine, Sunday Times Style and Stella Magazine.

After having her first son in 2011, at the height of an unhealthy trend for perfect mothering, Molly felt the pressure of motherhood whilst juggling a freelance career in journalism. It felt like she couldn’t do anything right. But one day she had an epiphany; that in order look after her child, she needed to look after herself first.

So, in 2013 Molly launched a blog a space for women with kids to share what they were really feeling, about life, the universe and everything. The idea instantly resonated and released a pressure gauge for women who were also struggling, it then morphed into a thriving clothing business which created GoodTees, supporting charitable causes. In 5 years, Selfish Mother raised over £1 Million for charities including Women for Women International, Stand Up to Cancer, Choose Love, Mothers 2 Mothers, and The Refugee Council. The Selfish Mother brand captured the zeitgeist and was worn by Kate Moss, Sir Mo Farah, Fearne Cotton, Salma Hayek, Claudia Schiffer, Jamie Oliver, Holly Willoughby and more.

Molly is currently writing her first novel.
