Robert Moore

Robert Moore was ITN's Middle East Correspondent for five years after spending some time producing and reporting in Moscow. He has also been ITN's Diplomatic and Foreign Affairs Editor and is currently ITV's News Correspondent. His awards include the International News Prize at the 1996 Royal Television Society Journalism Awards for his reporting on the year of fighting between Palestinians and Israeli soldiers on the West Bank, and two gold medals at the New York Film & TV Festival for his reporting on the plight of the refugees during the Rwandan Civil War.

His book, A Time to Die: The Kursk Disaster (Bantam, 2007), was published to critical acclaim. His well-researched work of non-fiction includes Russian military figures and his access to the Kursk's highly restricted Arctic submarine base to tell the inside story of the Kursk submarine disaster. The book was made into a film in 2018 titled Kursk and stars Colin Firth and Lea Seydoux. 

Robert also co-presents the hit ITV News podcast Trump Lost! What Now? which analyses Donald's impeachment trial and the dawn of Joe Biden's presidency. Robert received critical acclaim for his insightful and brave report as the only journalist inside the Capitol building during the extraordinary events that took place on January 6th 2021 in Washington D.C. His report garnered over 11 million views on Twitter. For his exceptional reporting, he was awarded Journalist of the Year 2021 by FPA London and Press Gazette. His follow-up documentary, Storming The Capitol (ITV News and ITN), recently won the Best News/Current Affairs Programme in the 2022 Broadcast Awards. At the 2022 Royal Television Society Awards, Robert won the Network Television Journalist of the Year and Storming The Capitol (ITV News and ITN) won two awards - the Breaking News award and the News Coverage (International) award. In March 2022, the documentary won a BAFTA in the News Coverage category.
