Sarah is an author, journalist and copywriter. Her work includes books about the perils of modern motherhood (You’re So Mummy, published by Michael Joseph), interiors in ex-council houses (Style Council, published by Square Peg) and, as ghost writer, the memoir of the forensic psychologist Kerry Daynes (The Dark Side of the Mind, published by Endeavour). Sarah’s features, on subjects ranging from parenting, mental health and divorce to luxury hotels and music festivals, have appeared in numerous publications including the Daily Telegraph, Stella Magazine, and the Daily Mail. She lives in Bridport with her two children.

In Happy Single Mother (Thread, 2022), Sarah de-bunks many of the myths surrounding single parenting: from how it affects your child’s development to the desperate-single-mother stereotypes still playing out in contemporary culture. She also examines and celebrate the many positive impacts that being raised by a single parent can have on a child. Sarah is covering such important ground and shining a much needed and long overdue light on what it means to be a single parent today.
