Ben is a multi-discipline composer, orchestrator and arranger working in film and theatre.

Recent composition work on screen includes: Blue (Feature Film; in post-production); Let’s Talk About George (short), The Lost City of Aztlan (short), Face2Face (feature), Back To School (Save The Children International campaign), A Beast in All But Name (short), Post Carbon Society (fashion/dance short), March of the Potguins (short), Reach (short) and Let The Stand (short). Ben orchestrates all of his own work.

2021 sees the online premiere of an original new musical, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, filmed at Southwark Playhouse and written with Richard Hough. Other projects with Richard include a musical theatre version of Graham Greene’s Our Man In Havana (Watermill), Billy The Kid (NYMT) and A Christmas Carol (Wellingborough). The Billy The Kid cast album reach #2 in the iTunes Soundtrack charts. 

Further composition credits include: Boeing-Boeing (2019 UK Tour); Let's Celebrate Christmas and A Perfect Child (Wales Millennium Centre); Fantasia on Nursery Rhymes (Lowestoft); The Valley of Unrest (Student Film).

Orchestration and arrangement credits include: The Sound of Music (International Tour – orchestral reductions); Starlight Express (Bochum, Germany & UK Tour); Now and Forever – The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber (Marriot Theatre, Chicago); Jesus Christ Superstar (Arena Tour, RUG – additional orchestration); The Wizard of Oz (London Palladium – additional arrangements & orchestrations); New South Bank Show Theme (Sky Arts – additional orchestration & arrangement); Diary of a Chav (Workshop – orchestration & arrangement); Big Bruvva The Musical (Edinburgh Festival Theatre & Upstairs at the Gatehouse - orchestration & arrangement); Speed Dating The Musical (Jermyn Street Theatre – transcription & arrangement)

Other credits include: Tell Me On A Sunday (St James Theatre – music preparation & supervision); The Phantom Of The Opera: 25th Anniversary (Royal Albert Hall & DVD – music preparation); Love Never Dies (West End, DVD & Concept Album Recording at Abbey Road – music assistant, transcription & additional orchestration); Theme From Stephen Ward (single for Milos Karadaglic – arrangement); Sing - Diamond Jubilee Single (Gary Barlow & Andrew Lloyd Webber – music preparation and transcription).

Ben has also created a definitive set of scores to the entire Andrew Lloyd Webber Catalogue, and is a co-founder of The Warehouse, a collective of British composers.
