Dr Christopher Kelly is an esteemed historian and classicist. He has written and broadcast widely on all matters Roman, from the Times Literary Supplement to Channel Four’s Time Team.
His books include critically acclaimed Ruling the Later Roman Empire, OUP’s The Roman Empire: A Very Short Introduction, and Atilla The Hun, and four edited volumes. He is currently working on the monograph Confronting the Classical: The Making of the Past in late Antiquity, is the editor of the Journal of Roman Studies and immediate past President of the Cambridge Philological Society.
In 2006, he was awarded a Leverhulme Trust Major Research Fellowship, and is now Master of Corpus Christi College Cambridge.
