Frank Gardner OBE

Frank Gardner is the BBC’s award-winning Security Correspondent, reporting on issues of both domestic and international security, most notably on Al Qaeda related terrorism. Awarded an OBE for services to journalism, Frank has written for the Economist, Sunday Times, Daily Telegraph and Time Out. As a career broadcaster and a witty and gifted communicator, Frank shares his passion for the Middle East, travel, and adventure – in 2018 he was awarded the University of Southern California's Tommy Trojan Trophy for distinguished speaking.

Alongside this, he is a biographer and novelist, his books include Sunday Times bestseller Blood and Sand – recalling being shot six times by Al-Qaeda terrorists –, Far Horizons, and his exhilarating spy thrillers Crisis; Ultimatum; and Outbreak, which were all Sunday Times bestsellers.
