Tom Mitchelson started out writing comedy. He was the principal writer on BBC Radio 5’s The Treatment, providing political and showbiz comedy sketches for Rob Brydon. He contributed to numerous BBC Radio 2 and 4 shows over the years, including the weekly topical monologue on Loose Ends. He’s written two sitcoms on Radio 4 and been a joke writer on primetime ITV and Channel 4 shows.

Tom’s forthcoming memoir Don’t Ask Me About My Dad deals with his complicated relationship with his father and the abuse he both suffered and witnessed throughout his childhood. He is also the author of Shut Up and Kiss Me, a book about everything to do with osculation and the co-author of The Little Book Of Brexit Bollocks.

His investigative and immersive journalism has appeared in The Times, The Daily Mail, The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Evening Standard and The Sun. He’s an experienced public speaker and recently gave his first Ted Talk. He has also starred in a feature film, Tortoise in Love, in the title role.
