Congratulations! Robert Moore awarded Network Television Journalist of the Year by the Royal Television Society

Robert Moore, ITV’s News Correspondent, and his wonderful team at ITV and ITN have taken home not one, but three awards at this year’s RTS Television Journalism Awards 2022!

For those that don’t already know, Robert received critical acclaim for his insightful and brave report as the only journalist inside the Capitol building during the extraordinary events that took place on January 6th 2021 in Washington D.C. His report garnered over 11 million views on Twitter. For his exceptional reporting, he was awarded Journalist of the Year 2021 by FPA London and Press Gazette. His follow-up documentary, Storming The Capitol (ITV News and ITN), recently won the Best News/Current Affairs Programme in the 2022 Broadcast Awards.

On Wednesday, at the 2022 Royal Television Society Awards, Robert won the Network Television Journalist of the Year and Storming The Capitol (ITV News and ITN) won two awards – the Breaking News award and the News Coverage (International) award.
