How Not to Crack

The Egg Gang, the team behind the global Instagram phenomenon @world_record_egg, have signed with The Soho Agency to represent publishing rights in a new title HOW NOT TO CRACK, a warm, funny and touching guide to surviving life, social media and other pressures as seen through the eyes of Eugene the Egg.

Eugene hit the headlines in January 2019, when the image of an egg broke the Guinness World Record for the most-liked Instagram post ever, receiving over 54 million likes. Next came a 30 second animation with Hulu during the Super Bowl in which the egg began to crack under the pressure of social media and urged others suffering to seek help. The animation directed users to, the world’s first crowd sourced mental health hub, which Egg Gang created.

A 52 x 11-minute animated Egg Gang comedy series for 8 to 12-year-olds, whose aim is to destigmatize mental health issues, is also now in development with Jouska Entertainment.
