Jane Porter wins a Christophers Award from The Boy Who Loved Everyone

The winners for The 73rd Christopher Awards were announced this Tuesday 26th April. We were overjoyed to see that Jane Porter was awarded a prize for The Boy Who Loved Everyone in the Books For Young People category.

The Christopher Awards aim to celebrate creators whose work “affirms the highest values of the human spirit”. This year, they particularly highlighted books with themes of healing, justice, service, building bridges and overcoming steep odds across Books For Adults, Books For Young People, Films, and TV Programs. The list of winners across all categories can be viewed here.

The Boy Who Loved Everyone (Walker Books, 2020), written by Jane Porter and illustrated by Maisie Paradise Shearring, is an uplifting story about Dimitri, who expresses his love for the people, places and things in his life by saying it out loud. He slowly begins to understand the other ways affection can be expressed and returned in unspoken ways.

A big congratulations from all at The Soho Agency to Jane and Maisie on winning this award!
