Jeremy Bowen’s New Role – International Editor of BBC News
Books
Congratulations to our wonderful author Jeremy Bowen – after many years as the distinguished BBC’s Middle East Editor, he is now stepping into his new role as the International Editor of BBC News. His announcement on Twitter is as follows:
“New role: I am now International Editor of BBC News. Will still do the Middle East, but after a year where I’ve spent a lot of time in Ukraine and Afghanistan, makes sense to look further afield.” @BowenBBC
All of us at The Soho Agency wish him the very best of luck in his new position and look forward to seeing the new opportunities and adventures this will bring for Jeremy.
P.S. For those that don’t already know, his new book, The Making of the Modern Middle East (Macmillan, 2022), is publishing this September. “Jeremy Bowen is one of the finest journalists and broadcasters of our age – qualities which shine through every page of this superb book. Written with modesty, grace and compassion, his account of 30 years working in the Middle East for the BBC combines his own personal experience with and a rare understanding of what makes this tortured region so dangerously combustible.” Jonathan Dimbleby
