This week, BBC World Editor and author John Simpson has been recording BBC Unspun World – the opening has been recorded in the immediate aftermath of Monday’s assault on Kyiv. This went live at 11.15pm on BBC Two and is now available on iPlayer. It will be on BBC World, News Channel & World Service over the next few days, too.

Him and his filming crew have been recording throughout the Russian blitz against Ukraine, and are only now on their way back to the UK.
