HQ has won a five-way auction for two novels in the Junior Year Abroad college romance series from Elle Kelk, a pseudonym for author Lindsey Kelk.

The synopsis says: “Hit or Miss follows Ethan Taylor, the star of the Marshall College soccer team, and Mia Meyers, a bookish wallflower, both leaving South Carolina behind for a year abroad at Britain’s prestigious Hemden University. They may have been far from friends at home, but under the spires of Hemden, could this striker score her heart?”

Kelk said: “The Junior Year Abroad series is such a passion project for me and I am beyond thrilled to have found a home with such a creative and dynamic group of book lovers. Priyal and the rest of the team at HQ, along with Tessa at Avon, are publishing some of the most interesting and exciting voices in romance right now and it is a privilege to join them for this new chapter in my career.”

Hit or Miss, the first book in the series, will be published in June 2026, and Sink or Swim will follow in February 2027 for Valentine’s Day.
