Louisa Minghella, previously of Blake Friedmann Literary Agency, has joined The Soho Agency as a script agent to represent clients writing and directing for film, television and theatre. Her clients include: Joanne Lau, who has projects in development with The Forge, Sprout Pictures, and Dancing Fox; Funny Women Award-winner Amy Mason; playwright Rachel Mars; BAFTA-winning Michael Lee Richardson; and Molly Naylor, writer of Sky One’s AFTER HOURS.
Rowan Lawton, Managing Director of The Soho Agency said: ‘‘We are excited to be expanding our list of screenwriters with the appointment of Louisa and are delighted to welcome her and the excellent list of talented clients she represents to The Soho Agency. Working in a team led by creatives director Helen Mumby, we are very much looking forward to Louisa helping to build on our successes in scripted film and television, as well as stage and live performance.”
Louisa said: “After a fantastic three years with Blake Friedmann, I am so excited to continue developing my growing list at The Soho Agency. I am thrilled to be working alongside such an inspiring team and look forward to building a bright future with my fantastic clients, to whom I of course owe so very much. I am so glad to have the support of everyone here at The Soho Agency and will continue to do my best to promote and amplify the voices of marginalised and under-represented creatives in the industry.”
Louisa Minghella started out in development and production with credits including Creative Circle Award-winning short film WE WANTS IT starring Andy Serkis, before moving to Blake Friedmann Literary Agency in 2019 to build her list and work across their slate of novels.
