Marvin Rees, former Mayor of Bristol, was awarded a peerage by the Prime Minister Kier Starmer and His Majesty The King at the end of last year.
Becoming a Member of the House of Lords is a great honour to Marvin, and it means that he could be selected to serve in a cabinet role for the Labour Government.
We wish our huge congratulations to Marvin – what an excellent start to 2025!
