Michelle Ogundehin joins ITV Tonight to discuss the environmental impact of common consumer products such as laundry detergents. Michelle explains how consumers are told that every product used from washing up liquid to surface spray is necessary when more environmentally-friendly alternatives can be made at home.

Discussing one leading washing up liquid brand Michelle says, “that very composition that makes it so good on your dishes is very bad for the fishes.”

This episode, What’s in Our Water? explores how “only 14 per cent of England's rivers are rated as being in a good condition, a figure that hasn't changed since 2009.” The episode demonstrates how “waste water is contributing to the crisis in our rivers and examines the impact of water companies dumping raw sewage into rivers and coastal waters, sometimes illegally.”
