Newsies Extends At The Troubadour After Glittering Reviews
Stage

Newsies makes headlines as the musical extends for a second time at Wembley’s Troubadour Theatre. You can catch the ground-stomping musical until 30th July 2023 as it continues to thrill audiences with its first ever London-run.

The Musical follows a group of young paper-boys (or Newsies) as they go on strike for fair pay and fair working conditions, led by the defiant Jack Kelly (Michael Ahomka-Lindsay). The story is based on the real Newsboy Strike in New York at the turn of the 20th Century. Directed and choreographed by Matt Cole, this production is an innovative, immersive adaption where audiences are thrust directly into the action.

The original production of Newsies opened on Broadway in 2012, and was based on the 1992 Disney film of the same name. The musical won two Tony Awards for Best Original Score and Best Choreography.
