Sarah Beeny’s New Life in the Country starts on Channel 4

We are very excited to announce Sarah Beeny’s newest television venture, Sarah Beeny’s New Life in the Country, following Sarah and her husband Graham Swift, along with their four sons, as they quit their lives in London to start anew in Somerset. It will be an eight-part series, and the first episode aired on Channel 4 at 8pm, November 11th.

The family has bought a semi-derelict former dairy farm in Somerset where, surrounded by 220 acres of farmland, they are planning on building the house of their dreams – a modern, carbon neutral mini stately home.

Sarah and Graham will also be focusing on rewilding their farm by introducing bees, chickens, and planting hundreds of young trees to increase biodiversity. This ambitious project will be set alongside the wait for their planning application to be approved, as well as landscaping on the new property.

Sarah Beeny says, “I think I’ve always quite enjoyed the buzz from change and mountainous challenges, and moving our whole family lock, stock and barrel from city to country and re-inventing our whole life has certainly been that.”

Sarah’s new show will speak to all who dream of escaping their life in the city, for a more simple and slower pace in the countryside.
