The nominations for the 22nd Annual WhatsOnStage Awards are IN!

We are delighted that several Soho Agency clients have been nominated for this year’s WhatsOnStage Awards across a variety of categories.

For Best Costume Design, Gabriella Slade has been nominated for her work on Bedknobs & Broomsticks, which is currently on tour in the UK. Gabriella also designed the costumes for Six which is nominated for Best West End Show.

Rent at the Hope Mill Theatre has been nominated for Best Musical Revival directed by Luke Sheppard, designed by David Woodhead and with lighting design by Howard Hudson. Also nominated is the Leicester Curve production of West Side Story which had set design by Michael Taylor.

Robert Madge’s My Son’s A Queer (But What Can You Do?) is nominated for Best Off-West End Production. The show, written and performed by Madge, ran at the Turbine Theatre, and was directed by Luke Sheppard with original music by Pippa Cleary.

We have multiple nominations for Best Regional Theatre Production; including Rent at the Hope Mill Theatre and West Side Story at Leicester Curve. Also nominated are Bedknobs and Broomsticks: The Musical with costume design by Gabriella Slade and What’s New Pussycat? at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre, directed by Luke Sheppard and with lighting design by Howard Hudson.

Finally, Rebecca Howell is associate choreographer to Sonya Tayeh, whose work on Moulin Rouge! is nominated for Best Choreography.
