The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the instant Sunday Times bestseller from global historian Bettany Hughes, will be turned into a three part docuseries on Channel 5 next year – and we simply can’t wait to see it.

Presented by Bettany herself, she will travel across three continents for the docuseries, following in the footsteps of ancient warriors, pilgrims, emperors and tourists as she visits each of the world’s seven wonders, including the Great Pyramid of Giza, The Colossus of Rhodes, the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus and the Statue of Zeus at Olympia.

Her excellent production company SandStone Global will produce the show, combining archaeological access, new research and cutting edge technology that will allow Bettany to utilize digital reconstructions of some of these wonders.

And this announcement has landed in our laps just in time for the paperback, publishing next Thursday 31st!
