Theatre and performing arts agent Helen Mumby joins The Soho Agency

Helen Mumby, previously of Macnaughton Lord Representation, has joined The Soho Agency as a director of the company to represent clients for the theatre, the performing arts and writing and directing for film and television. Her Olivier and Tony award-winning client list includes Screenwriter and Director Jessica Swale whose first feature film, SUMMERLAND, will be released by Lionsgate in 2020, Director Luke Sheppard and Lighting Designer Howard Hudson who recently opened & JULIET to great acclaim in the West End, and Designer Gabriella Slade who will open SIX on Broadway and in Australia in 2020.

Helen Mumby graduated with a BA in Classics from King’s College London followed by an MA in Classical Acting at the Central School of Speech and Drama, after which she decided to pursue a career in the Arts. She joined Macnaughton Lord Representation in 2008, subsequently becoming an agent and then a director. She represents a wide range of designers (set, costume, lighting, video and sound), choreographers, movement directors, composers, musical directors, directors, librettists and writers.
