Tim Peake brings the Moon back to Earth with BBC’s 13 Minutes Presents: Artemis II
Audio

As humanity plans returns to the Moon, Tim Peake has been helping guide millions of listeners through one of the most ambitious space missions in modern history.

Throughout NASA’s Artemis II mission, Tim is co‑presenting 13 Minutes Presents: Artemis II, delivering daily episodes in real time as the mission unfolds. The series follows the first crewed journey around the Moon in more than fifty years, taking listeners inside the science, the engineering and the human experience of deep space.

Drawing on his own experience as a European Space Agency astronaut, Tim brings rare insight and authority to the story, explaining what it feels like to prepare for launch, to travel beyond Earth orbit, and to live with the psychological realities of spaceflight. Alongside space scientist Maggie Aderin and US space journalist Kristin Fisher, he helps translate one of the most complex missions ever attempted into something immediate, gripping and profoundly human.

Produced by the BBC Audio Science Unit for the BBC World Service, 13 Minutes Presents: Artemis II allows audiences around the world to experience the journey as it happens — from launch and lunar flyby to the spacecraft’s return to Earth.
