Max Halley is a writer, broadcaster and owner of Max's Sandwich Shop (winner of the OFM Award for Best Cheap Eats 2015). Since graduating with a First in Ancient History from UCL, he has worked in the world of food. Before opening his shop in North London, he ran a host of London's best-loved dining rooms including Arbutus, Salt Yard, The Opera Tavern and LeCoq.
Max has written for the Guardian, Fire and Knives, Root and Bone and vice.com. His debut cookbook, Max's Sandwich Book, was published in 2018 and became a Sunday Times Top Ten Bestseller.
He makes very successful films on food for vice.com and Viceland. In Summer 2018 he started working with brands such as Gaviscon, Tabasco and Oatly, on social media campaigns, developing sandwiches and recipes.
