Rangan is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of General Practitioners, and has been a practicing GP for nearly 20 years. He is currently regarded as one of the most influential doctors in the UK and wants to change how medicine will be practiced in years to come. He has been called a pioneer and is changing the way that we look at illness. Rangan hosts the #1 iTunes podcast, Feel Better, Live More to help empower listeners to lead healthier, happier lives. This already has over 6 million downloads to date and his podcast episodes are regularly ‘prescribed’ by doctors to their patients. He has also started presenting his own BBC Radio Two show on Sunday nights, where he blends inspirational interviews with feel good music to create a relaxing mood for the listeners preparing for their week ahead. More recently, Rangan launched his new podcast with Amazon Music titled Built to Thrive which offers its listeners a daily dose of wellbeing advice.

He is the author of the international best-seller, The Four Pillar Plan which has already become one of the top 10 selling Health titles of the past 5 years. Rangan’s latest book Feel Great, Lose Weight launched at the end of 2020 and is a current Amazon best seller in their Health and Psychology charts. He co-created the highly acclaimed Prescribing Lifestyle Medicine educational course which has already been delivered to over 400 GPs, Consultant Physicians and other healthcare professionals in 2018, providing them with a usable framework to apply Lifestyle Medicine principles in clinical practice. 

He regularly features on BBC news channels and has given an inspirational TED talk on making diseases disappear. He writes articles in the popular press, including publications such as The Guardian, The Huffington Post and The Daily Mail. Rangan is known for finding the root cause of people's problems; he highlighted his methods in the ground-breaking BBC television show, Doctor in the House, which has been shown in over 70 countries around the world. He has also been placed in the Pulse Power 50 list for influential GPs consecutively for the past 2 years.
