Tuyền Đỗ is a British East Asian writer and actor. She has been part of the Royal Court’s studio writing group, Tamasha Playwrights, and Bristol Old Vic’s open session writers’ programme.

Her debut play Summer Rolls was performed at the Park Theatre and Bristol Old Vic to sold-out audiences and was published by Oberon. This was the first British Vietnamese play to have ever been staged in the UK.

Other short works have been performed with Tamasha Theatre, Kali Theatre, Yellow Earth Theatre, and Theatre 503. Tuyen has also written for short film projects, including Healthy which won an honourable mention for Best Short at the Asians On Film Festival. She also contributed to the Hear Me Now Monologues.

Tuyen is also one of the recipients of 2020's Channel 4 Playwrighting Scheme’s Peggy Ramsey bursary, and was most recently seen at the Vaults Festival starring in her show Lòng Mẹ (Mother’s Soul). Much of her creative work stems from her British Vietnamese roots.

Tuyen is also a founder of VanThanh Productions, whose mission is to enable minority groups to tell their own stories.
